GILLETTE, Wyo. — By mid-day Sept. 6, motorists will begin using the eastbound lane of the new Ranchester Bridge on US 14.
The Wyoming Department of Transportation, contractor Reiman Corp. and High Country Construction have completed their work on the eastbound, the news release said. For now, all area traffic will use that lane.
A traffic signal at each end of the project area will direct one-way traffic over the bridge at a speed limit of 20 mph. Motorists can expect to wait about 2 minutes, but that time will vary based on traffic volume.
After the switch to the new bridge, the next steps are demolishing the existing bridge and working on the westbound lane. Work is behind schedule, according to the release. It should conclude by spring 2023.
