Break-in at Fox Park residence, police investigating

GILLETTE, Wyo. — Gillette police are on the hunt for a suspect who reportedly broke into a home in the Fox Park subdivision early this morning, according to the City of Gillette.

Officers responded to a residence near Cam-Plex this morning shortly after 8 a.m. for the report of an adult man entering a residence without permission, an Aug. 10 city release says.

The man, wearing a red hoodie with baggy khaki pants, reportedly entered the residence and confronted the homeowners before fleeing the area on foot, per the release.

Police are describing the man as being clean shaven with a slender build and short, buzz-cut hair, the city says.

Gillette Deputy Police Chief Brent Wasson on Wednesday declined to offer an update on the investigation, the report for which was still being compiled at the time of press.

The suspect is still at large, Wasson said.

The public is requested to contact the police department if they see anyone matching the description of the suspect by calling 9-1-1, per the city.
