Gillette, Wyo. — An 18-year-old man was flown to Montana with life-threatening injuries following a crash near Sleepy Hollow yesterday, a local law enforcement official said Tuesday.
The crash occurred near the intersection of Sleepy Hollow Boulevard and Union Chapel Road around 6:40 p.m. on Aug. 1, according to Campbell County Undersheriff Quentin Reynolds.
Astride a 1991 Harley Davidson motorcycle, the 18-year-old man was reportedly westbound on Union Chapel and approached an eastbound 2017 Nissan Sentra attempting to make a left turn onto Sleepy Hollow Boulevard from the same roadway, Reynolds said.
The passenger car reportedly turned in front of the motorcycle, causing the 18-year-old man to crash into it, according to Reynolds, who stated that the report did not specify who was driving the Nissan.
The 18-year-old man was Life Flighted to Billings, Montana, with life-threatening injuries, per Reynolds.
As of Aug. 2, no charges have been filed, and the crash remains under investigation, Reynolds said.
