Campbell County School District announces meal prices for 2022-2023

GILLETTE, Wyo. — Campbell County School District 1 has released meal prices for the 2022-2023 school year.

Federal COVID-19 free meal waivers were not extended for the upcoming school year, a flier said.

Nutrition Services Director Bryan Young told County 17 in an email July 18 that elementary school prices are $1.25 and $2.50 for breakfast and lunch, respectively. For secondary school, the breakfast price is $1.50 and the lunch price is $3.

Families need to fill out forms to see if they qualify for meal benefit assistance. The forms can be picked up at schools or filled out online through PaySchools Central.

Across grade levels, reduced price breakfasts are 30 cents and reduced price lunches are 40 cents.

Associate Superintendent for Instructional Support Dennis Holmes is recommending the school board award bids for nutritional services food, milk, dairy and supplies for the upcoming school year for the following companies and amounts at the board’s July 20 meeting:

His June 28 memo to the board said costs are based on projected needs and final totals may change based on actual usage and market pricing.
