GILLETTE, Wyo. — Three babies were passengers in a two-vehicle collision that led to traffic backups at Boxelder Road and Skyline Drive Tuesday evening.

Wyoming Department of Transportation tweeted at 6:27 p.m. June 28 that the crash had occurred and that motorists should be prepared to stop and expect delays.

Wyoming Highway Patrol Trooper Tyler Schilling said a white Honda Accord traveling westbound on Boxelder Road T-boned a maroon Chevrolet Tahoe that was proceeding southbound on Highway 50. Schilling said the Tahoe went through a barbed wire fence with posts as a result of the crash.

Two babies were in the Tahoe and one baby was in the Accord, he said. At least one person involved in the crash was transported to the hospital, he said.

Traffic was delayed for about 15 to 30 minutes, Schilling said. The factors involved in the crash are still under investigation, he told County 17 at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday.
