GILLETTE, Wyo. — Former Justice Department officials are set to testify in today’s 1/6 Committee hearing about the pressure campaign by former President Donald Trump over the 2020 presidential election results.
The hearing, which is the committee’s fifth, will be aired live at 1 p.m. MDT.
The witnesses will include Jeffrey Rosen, who was acting attorney general during the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the U.S. Capitol, Rosen’s top deputy, Richard Donoghue, and Steven Engel. The latter two threatened to resign, saying many others in the department would as well if Trump replaced Rosen, the Associated Press reported.
