Boot Hill to host Godines family fundraiser July 16

GILLETTE, Wyo. — Boot Hill Legendary Nightclub will host a fundraiser at 6 p.m. July 16 for the Godines family.

Tickets for the spaghetti dinner are $25 or a generous donation, according to the event flyer.

There will be a silent auction and a cash bar too. More than 30 businesses have donated items for the silent auction, including a barbecue smoker, jewelry, miniature haul trucks and gift certificates for tattoos and massages, event organizer Hannah Klemola said.

All proceeds go to the Godines siblings for funeral expenses, she said.

Anyone who has questions, wants to buy a ticket or wishes to donate can text or call Klemola at 307-257-0533. Tickets can also be purchased at the door. Boothill Nightclub is at 910 N. Gurley Ave. in Gillette.

Emiliano and Christina Godines, 51 and 47, were both killed alongside their son, Aaron, daughter-in-law Halie Everts, and their 3-month-old granddaughter, Tessleigh, when the vehicle they were traveling in was rear-ended by a semi-tractor trailer on Interstate 25 in Weld County, Colorado, on June 13.
