GILLETTE, Wyo. — Campbell County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents to look out for two men who reportedly are trying to sell cleaning products door-to-door in a black vehicle.

Undersheriff Quentin Reynolds said Monday that a resident between Wright and Midwest reported a suspicious activity that sounds similar to incidents seen in Crook County. The resident said that at about 10 p.m. June 15, a man approached her door and attempted to sell cleaning supplies, including bleach.

The Crook County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post June 15 that staff had received multiple calls June 14 about a suspicious vehicle in the Hulett/Aladdin area. The vehicle was described as a black 2019 GMC Sierra extended cab pickup with a tonneau cover and with a Washington license plate, C46789T, the post said.

Two men in the vehicle were trying to sell cleaning products, and the vehicle’s passenger approached residences, the post said. The men were taking photos of shops at properties and one person said she thought they were photographing her children, according to the post.

Crook County residents who see the vehicle or the men on their property were asked to call their sheriff’s office at 307-283-1225.
