Terry Wayne Sims: 1972 – 2022
Terry Wayne Sims, 49, devoted husband and father died Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado, with his wife, Kim, by his side.
Terry was born July 29, 1972, in Gillette, Wyoming to James and Jeanie Sims.
Terry lived and worked in Gillette his entire life and loved spending time with his family and friends. In 1991, Terry graduated from Campbell County High School, where he played football and wrestled.
After high school, Terry worked in the oilfield, on workover rigs, and later as a pumper in the methane gas fields. He was working at National Belt Service as a salesman at the time of his death.
In 1993, Terry married Jennifer Matthews and from this union, they had one son, Bryer Wayne Sims.
In 2002, Terry met Kim Richards and they married on May 24, 2003. They were each other’s best friend and lifelong companions. They were blessed with two sons: Blake Allen Sims and Brent Dillen Sims.
Terry loved to spend time outdoors, camping, hunting and piddling in his garage. But his most favorite pastime was watching his sons play sports, especially football. He spent time coaching them in their activities and was their biggest fan.
Terry is survived by his loving wife, Kim, 3 sons Bryer (Ashlyn), Blake and Brent Sims (who he affectionately called his “Killer B’s”), his parents James and Jeannie Sims, his brother Tony (Ashley) Sims, sister Lisa DeBord and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Terry was preceded in death by his grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services are to be held at First Presbyterian Church at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 14th, with burial at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery immediately following the service. Delores “Dee” Edwards: 1945 – 2022
Delores “Dee” Edwards passed away on June 11, 2022 in Sundance, WY surrounded by her family.
She was born August 10,1945 to Wayne and Viola (Moore) Woody.
Dee was raised in Thermopolis, Wyoming and graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1963. She then attended Casper College and earned a degree in business.
After college she moved to Gillette where she met and married Ronnie Edwards on May 20, 1972. They made their home on the south side of Gillette by the Gillette Fishing Lake until 1994.
After their youngest graduated they moved to their ranch twenty miles south of Gillette on Highway 59. She resided there until her passing.
Dee, worked several different jobs, including Murphy Drug, the livestock sale ring, and Fashion Crossroads from the mid 1980’s to 1999 all the while ranching alongside her husband, Ronnie.
She was a long-time member of the local sorority, Beta Sigma Phi, from November 1973 through June 2022.
She enjoyed spending her time attending all of her grandkid’s activities. Holidays were her favorite time of year she loved spending these moments with her entire family. Some of her hobbies were camping, branding, calving, leading and being apart of her sorority and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sister, Evelyn Bowling of Yuma, AZ; her three kids; Kris (Brad) Erdman of Gillette ,WY and their kids: Whitney (Jake), Bayker, Aspen, Knighton, and Thorson, Trevor, and Hayden. Rhonda (Joe) Parker of Douglas, WY and their kids: Ryan (Chris), Ashley (Cordell), Trevor, Wyatt, and Molly. Brad (Lindy) Edwards of Gillette, WY and their kids: Dacee (Zeb) and Crew, Channing (Jacob) and a baby girl on the way, Gracey (Colter) and Bentley, Hayden, and Reide.
Along with many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents, in-laws, Joseph and Leora Edwards, husband Ronnie, grandkids Hayley and Colton, and brother-in-law Bill Bowling.
Upon her request, there will not be a funeral service. However, there will be a graveside ceremony Friday, June 17th at 10 a.m. at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery with Marty Crump as the officiant. Reception to follow. In honor of Dee, she loved the color red, the family invites you to wear red if you are attending. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
