Ricky Lee Jochim: January 08, 1971 – May 25, 2022
Ricky Lee Jochim, 51, passed away after a short battle with cancer on May 25, 2022 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital.
Ricky was born January 8, 1971 to Stanley and Anna Jane (Lee) Jochim. He went to school in Mandan, North Dakota until the 4th grade when his family moved to New Salem, ND where he finished the rest of his school years. He graduated from New Salem High school in 1990.
Ricky joined the North Dakota National Guard in between his junior and senior year of high school. He was a proud Veteran of the Desert Storm.
After the military, he worked various jobs. Ricky was married twice. He had a son with his second wife, Kerri. Austin Lee Jochim was his pride and joy!
Ricky was a people person. He loved to visit with everyone, shoot pool and play darts. He love all kinds of music and could tell you the name of any song and who sang it. Most of all, Ricky loved his family.
Ricky’s best friend was his son, Austin. He loved him more than anything in this world. Some of Austin’s favorite memories of his Dad were playing at the park and watching WWE wrestling. During the summer, every Thursday, They loved going to the music in park in Rawlins. Ricky would always take Austin to his first day of school. When he came to Gillette to visit Austin, he would get a room the same hotel and take Austin swimming. He has taught Austin to love, honor and respect the American Flag and our country like he did.
Ricky is survived by his son, Austin Jochim of Mobil, Alabama; his parents, Stanley and Anna Jane (Lee) Jochim of New Salem, ND; two brothers, Joey (Carrie) Jochim of Washburn, ND; Sam (Jodi) Jochim of Gillette, WY; two sisters, Theresa (Brian) Renz of Gillette, WY; Sarah (Anthony) Clarke Gillette, WY; two nephews and a niece, Dawson Renz, Rachel Jochim, Michael Renz all of Gillette, WY; and one great niece, Paris Jochim. He was preceded in death by both sets of Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and a nephew, Jesse Jochim.
