LuAnne Fowles: July 21, 1953 – April 19, 2022
LuAnne Fowles, 68, of Moorcroft, passed away on April 19, 2022, at home in her loving family’s arms after a valiant fight with cancer. LuAnne was born on July 21, 1953, to Dale and Luella Workman in Duchesne, Utah. She was the fourth of seven children and graduated from High School in 1971.
LuAnne met and married the love of her life, Steven Fowles; they had four beautiful children. They moved to Moorcroft, WY, in 1978, where she lived for the remainder of her life among her friends and family.
When LuAnne had her first child, she dedicated her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. She excelled at supporting her family and helping them through their lives’ many ups and downs. LuAnne always had a warm and kind heart and was willing to help in any way she could. Her family meant the world to her, and she made sure they knew how much she loved them.
LuAnne was passionate about quilting, sewing, and camping. She loved to travel with her honey and enjoyed bringing trinkets home from all their trips. LuAnne always had an open door to her home and was always willing to listen and feed anyone her children dragged home without warning. She had a kind heart and was willing to share her wisdom with all who were lost and seeking guidance. LuAnne adored her grandkids and loved spending time with them.
LuAnn was preceded in death by her mom and dad and her beloved brother, Jeff Workman. She is survived by her loving husband and her four children, Joe Fowles, Tara (Seth) Ferrell, Katy (Jason) Krause, and Amanda (James) Dobson; twelve grandchildren, Alexis Mikkelson, Natasha Fowles, Aaron Fowles, Melody Nathan, Luke Ferrell, Russell Ferrell, Liberty Ferrell, Joshua Krause, Olivia Krause, Jarod Krause, Britanie Dobson, Jaxon Dobson, Mason Dobson, and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral services for LuAnne Fowles will be on Monday, April 25, 2022, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Chapel in Moorcroft, Wyoming. The viewing will be from 8:00-9:30 AM, followed by funeral services at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD, at 2:00 PM.

Douglas Hardy: February 25, 1961 – April 19, 2022
Memorial service for Douglas Hardy will take place at 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 25, 2022 at Walker Funeral Home.
Douglas William Howard Hardy, 61, of Gillette, Wyoming died April 19th of complications of diabetes at Campbell County Memorial Hospital. Doug was born February 25th 1961 to Larry and Barbara Hardy in Gillette, WY and spent his early years in Wyoming and moved to colorado with his family in the mid 60’s. When the family moved to Colorado, he then went to school in Westminster and Boulder, Colorado. He participated in Little Britches, Junior Rodeo and competed all throughout High School. He was a highpoint saddle bronc and bareback rider, winning many buckles and all around saddles. He also held many records for track and field at Fairview High School. He married Monica Little and became the proud Dad of a baby girl, Lacey Jeanne. He then married Yolanda Hernandez and again was blessed with a son, Austin Jay. He later married Cheryl Stradly where they became good partners in training and showing horses. He loved all animals, especially dogs, horses and we can’t forget his two kitties Pete and Bootsy. He loved watching wildlife so much that he was constantly called a “boulder bunny hugger.” He spent his life in the livestock industry training, showing, and brokering horses. He loved visiting with old-timers, sharing a beer and hearing about family and friends’ early life in Campbell County. He was proud to be a fourth generation Campbell County native, descendant of the Deavers, Anderson Rourke and Hardys’. In his early childhood he thought the world was made of grandmas and grandpas, having two sets of grandparents and three full sets of great grandparents. He came from a long line of pranksters and practiced the art religiously, that was how you know he liked you. Doug never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a hand. He is survived by his parents Larry and Barbara Hardy, his children Austin Jay and Lacey Jeanne Hardy, and one granddaughter, Marilyn. He was also survived by his sister Sherryl (Gene) Hardy, one uncle, Robert (Neva) Hardy, and two aunts. He was also survived by his niece Taylor Pickett and nephew, Timothy Pickett, as well as many cousins.
