Theft, April 13, Lakeway Rd, GPD
A 61-year-old female called the police yesterday at 2:28 p.m. after her wallet was reportedly stolen from the Energy Station on Lakeway Road, according to Gillette Deputy Police Chief Brent Wasson. She had left her wallet, which contained $120, when she went to the bathroom. After she realized it was gone, she returned to the store and found it had been taken. The investigation is ongoing.
Reddi, April 13, S. Butler Spaeth Rd, GPD
Officers cited a 30-year-old female for having an open container in a 2017 Jeep after she was reported as a potential drunk driver on S. Butler Spaeth Road around 3:45 p.m., Wasson said. The female passed standardized field sobriety tests, but officers issued the citation for an open bottle of Crown Royal.
Warrant, April 13, Garner Lake Rd, CCSO
A 37-year-old male was arrested on a felony warrant near Garner Lake Road after he was reported as a potential drunk driver around 4:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon, according to Campbell County Undersheriff Quentin Reynolds. The male was reported for allegedly failing to maintain his lane while traveling on N. Highway 59 in a rented box truck. The warrant was for burglary and the male is currently being held on a $50,000 bond.
Battery, April 13, N. Gurley Ave, GPD
Officers contacted a 15-year-old male after he allegedly kicked another juvenile male at the YES House yesterday around 6 p.m., Wasson said. The two of them had not been getting along that day and their disagreements led up to the incident. Both males were found to be on probation and their probation officers were notified of the incident. No charges were filed.
Death, April 13, Decoy Ave, GPD
A 35-year-old male called the police yesterday at 8:08 p.m. to report finding his wife, 31, unresponsive at a residence on Decoy Avenue, Wasson said. Officers and emergency medical services attempted life-saving measures, but she was ultimately pronounced deceased at the scene. No foul play is expected, Wasson said.
