GILLETE, Wyo. — The holiday where everyone wants to be Irish is St. Patrick’s Day. While traditionally speaking you are supposed to wear green and eat certain foods, maybe you want to get out there and try something different.
Gillette has a great scene, that if you have time to attend some of these events tonight, it will sure to be a night you you won’t forget… (well as long as you are not hungover the next day). Here are just a few highlights of how to spend your St. Patrick’s day.
Skate-A-Thon

At the Iron Horse Skateway the Energy Capital Habitat for Humanity is hosting their first Skate-A-Thon!
Sign up to skate as a team or an individual to help us raise funds for our next new home in Gillette. Supporters can either donate a flat fee or pledge on a per-lap basis. Digital bids can be collected via our Skate-A-Thon fundraising page, just click “Fundraise” to start your own team or to join an existing one, and a fundraising page will be generated for you to use for yourself.
The cost to participate is free. Admission to the skating rink is free for teams and individuals participating in the Skate-A-Thon. You must have your own skates, otherwise Iron Horse rental prices apply: Quad Skates $3 / Inline Skates $5.
