COVID-19 Update for Friday, Feb. 11

There have been 356 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Campbell County since last week, including seven new Omicron variant cases, the Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) announced Friday.

The latest data, updated on Feb 11, brings the total number of lab-confirmed cases in Campbell County to 10,691, the number of probable cases to 1,152, and the number of recoveries to 11,544, per WDH.

As of Feb 11, there are 263 active lab-confirmed cases and 36 active probable cases of COVID-19 in Campbell County.

There have been 17 new deaths attributed to COVID-19 since the previous update. As of Feb. 11, 1,667 Wyoming residents have died from complications arising from COVID-19, 135 of whom resided in Campbell County.

Statewide, the number of lab-confirmed cases increased by 4,101 to 120,115 and the number of probable cases has increased to 32,466 since Feb.1.

There are currently 2,616 active lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19, 799 active probable cases, and have been a total of 149,166 recoveries in Wyoming.

As of Feb. 8, the most recent vaccine data update, approximately 258,914 Wyoming residents, or 44.74 percent of the state population, were considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Approximately 74.1 percent of all Wyoming seniors over the age of 65, 53.5 percent of adults over the age of 18, 31.8 percent of adolescents between the ages of 12 and 17, and 11.4 percent of children under between the ages of 5 and 11 were considered fully vaccinated, per WDH.

Statewide, there have been 22,248 breakthrough cases of COVID-19 among vaccinated residents, 142 deaths, and 704 deaths among unvaccinated residents, WDH says.

Campbell County continues to have the second-lowest vaccination rate in the state, behind Crook County, with 28.32 percent of the entire county population, roughly 13,126 residents, fully vaccinated, WDH says.

In Campbell County, there have been 976 breakthrough cases, 8 deaths among vaccinated residents, and 60 deaths among unvaccinated residents, per WDH.

There have been 9,876 COVID-19 variant cases detected in the state, 933 of which were identified as the Omicron variant, per WDH.

As of Feb. 11, there have been 26 cases of the Omicron variant in Campbell County

The Delta variant continues to be the most prominent COVID-19 variant strain in Wyoming with 7,761 cases identified statewide and 1,010 cases in Campbell County to date, WDH says.
