A woman who is 28 weeks pregnant was arrested last night after she reportedly admitted to using meth and was found to have some on her person, Deputy Chief of Police Brent Wasson said Wednesday.

Officers located the woman around 4th Street and S. Emerson Avenue after some of her family members reported that she had just left their residence on foot and was possibly under the influence of something, Wasson said on Jan. 19.

The woman was found to have an active Crook County arrest warrant and allegedly admitted to using meth on Jan. 17, per Wasson, who said that a search incident to her arrest reportedly yielded around 1 gram of suspected meth and paraphernalia.

She was arrested on the warrant and was issued citations both for possession of a controlled substance and for using a controlled substance.

Additional charges, possibly for endangering children with drugs, are pending, per Wasson.
