Two county staff members at the Northeast Wyoming Regional Airport (NWRA) were recognized during Tuesday’s County Commission meeting for their commitment to cleanliness.

For some travelers, the NWRA is their first impression of Campbell County and Gillette; Clara and Noyola Rosiles and Katrina Larsen, who work in the airport’s custodial department, were both recognized Jan. 18 for ensuring that impression is a lasting and positive one.

“They are amazing, let me tell you,” Shelly Besel, NWRA marketing coordinator, said of the tandem who maintain the airport, and other locations, during their busy weekday schedule.

Both received the county’s MVP (Most Valuable Personnel) award that recognizes employees nominated by the Campbell County Employee Recognition Committee who reflect the highest level of service.

Rosiles and Larsen are not part of her staff, but Besel recognizes their importance to the public works custodial department and the work that goes above-and-beyond at the NWRA.

“I would like to add that these ladies, (Rosiles and Larsen), are an important part of our team,” Besel said, adding that they work tirelessly behind the scenes to make the airport shine.

“When I arrive at 7:30 a.m. (daily), these girls are already working hard and they perform their duties with professionalism, friendliness, and take pride in their work,” Besel said, adding that she and the airport are sincerely thankful for their custodial staff.

Rosiles and Larsen were presented awards before the audience Tuesday before shaking hands with each of the commissioners.

“I just want to let you guys know how much we appreciate the custodial staff that works out here at the airport,” Besel said.
