There have been 333 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Campbell County since Jan. 3, including 60 new cases involving the Delta variant, the Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) announced Wednesday.
There remain no cases of the Omicron variant in Campbell County. There has been a total of 61 cases of the Omicron variant statewide, 31 of which have been reported in Albany County, per WDH.
The latest data, updated on Jan. 12, brings the total number of lab-confirmed cases in Campbell County to 8,999, the number of probable cases to 989, and the number of recoveries to 9,663, per WDH.
As of Jan. 12, there are 52 active lab-confirmed cases and 6 active probable cases of COVID-19 in Campbell County.
There have been no new deaths attributed to COVID-19 since the previous update Jan. 3. As of Jan. 12, 1,588 Wyoming residents have died from complications arising from COVID-19, 130 of whom resided in Campbell County.
Statewide, the number of lab-confirmed cases increased by 5,393 to 97,745 and the number of probable cases has increased to 24,291 since Jan. 3.
There are currently 2,378 active lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19, 246 active probable cases, and have been a total of 118,892 recoveries in Wyoming.
As of Jan. 10, the most recent vaccine data update, approximately 253,946 Wyoming residents, or 43.88 percent of the state population, were considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Approximately 73.7 percent of all Wyoming seniors over the age of 65, 52.8 percent of adults over the age of 18, and 30.7 percent of adolescents between the ages of 12 and 17 were considered fully vaccinated, per WDH.
Campbell County continues to have the second-lowest vaccination rate in the state, behind Crook County (25.46 percent), with 27.72 percent of the entire county population, roughly 12,845 residents, fully vaccinated, WDH says.
There have been 8,778 COVID-19 variant cases detected in the state, 7,535 of which were identified as the Delta variant, which continues to be the most prominent variant strain in Wyoming, per WDH.
In Campbell County, there have been a total of 968 cases of the Delta variant identified, per the WDH.
