Gillette police ticketed three students at Twin Spruce Jr. High School following a fight in a nearby alleyway on Tuesday, according to Lt. Brent Wasson.

School resource officers responded to the school around 3:09 p.m. after the school principal called to report receiving information that two 13-year-old females were planning on fighting at City Park south of Twin Spruce, Wasson said.

When officers arrived at the park, a City employee reported telling a group of students that they needed to leave and that the students had headed back towards the school.

Officers located a large group of students in an alleyway on the north side of the school who fled on foot but were blocked in by a fence. Two 13-year-old females were found to have physically fought, one of whom had a bloody nose, per Wasson.

Video of the incident also showed a 15-year-old female yelling profanity and encouraging the two females to fight, Wasson continued.

The two 13-year-olds were cited for battery and the 15-year-old female was cited for breach of peace. All students were released to their parents.
