A Bozeman Trail-themed presentation that was canceled last week over weather concerns has been rescheduled for early November, according to the Campbell County Rockpile Museum.
The event, The Historic Bozeman Trail: A New Journey, will now take place at the Rockpile on Nov. 4 at 6 p.m., the museum announced and will feature keynote speaker Dave McKee, an anthropologist who just completed a 32-year career with the U.S. Forest Service.
During the event, McKee will speak about prominent people associated with the Bozeman Trail between the years of 1863 and 1868 including John Bozeman, Crazy Horse, Colonel Henry Carrington, Red Cloud, and Lieutenant William Judd Fetterman among others, according to the Rockpile.
Additionally, McKee will also provide an update concerning a project intended to get the Bozeman Trail formally listed as a National Historic Trail.
The event is free and open to the public and will also be live-streamed on the Rockpile Museum’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
