The Wyoming Cowboys will focus on maintaining their perfect record of 3-0 as they make a rare trip to the east coast Saturday to play the UConn Huskies, University of Wyoming (UW) Athletics announced Wednesday.

Cowboy head coach Craig Bohl has been reportedly emphasizing to his team since the start of the 2021 season that Wyoming needs to focus on going 1-0 each week, a feat that the team was able to accomplish yet again last week with their hard-won victory over Ball State.

So far, the 2021 Wyoming Cowboys have matched the previous best start by a Bohl coached team at Wyoming, which took place in 2019 where Wyoming went 3-0 early in the season and went to post an 8-5 season, including a championship in the NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl, per UW Athletics.

This week’s trip, per the release, marks the longest trip for the Wyoming Cowboys this season as the team travels to East Hartford, 27 miles west of Storrs, Connecticut, where UConn plays their home games.

Saturday’s game will be the first meeting between the Wyoming Cowboys and the UConn Huskies in football, according to the release.

For UW fans unable to attend the game, there are several ways for them to either listen or watch.

The game, like all Cowboy Football games, will be broadcast live via radio on the 26 affiliates of the Cowboy Sports Network with announcers Dave Walsh, Kevin McKinney, and Reece Monaco, per UW Athletics.

It will also be televised on CBS Sports Network with announcers Ed Cohen, Randy Cross, and Josh Martin, according to the release.
