The halfway point of the football season is here and it could not be any bigger in Gillette. This Friday night will have a playoff-type atmosphere when Campbell County and Thunder Basin high schools will face off in the cross-town rivalry.
The Bolts are one game out of first place and have expectations of getting back to the state championship. The Camels are a much-improved team taking everybody by surprise as they are just one game out of second place going into this game. Regardless of the outcome, Gillette has two solid teams very much alive in the playoff hunt as we approach week 4 and game five of the season.
