
Tribute to American Veterans
The price of freedom is the writing on the traveling wall which arrived Tuesday in Gillette. This sentimental tribute to our fallen hero’s killed in the line of duty from Vietnam through the airport bombing in Kabul, Afghanistan last month as well as the brave first responders lost during 9/11. The wall of honor will be on display daily at CAM-PLEX Park through Sunday
Thursday, Sept. 9

11 a.m. – Campbell County Fire Department ceremony, Gillette Mayor Louise Carter-King, Campbell County Commissioner Chairman Bob Maul, Gillette Police Department, Campbell County Sheriff Scott Matheny, Emergency Medical Services, Campbell County Fire Chief Jeff Bender, tolling bell, moment of silence
12 p.m. – City-wide picnic sponsored by the City of Gillette and the Campbell County commissioners
2 p.m. – Veteran’s parade along Second Avenue
4 p.m. – 67th Army National Band Performance
5 p.m. – Gillette Community Theater, 110 Stories by Sarah Tuft
