GPD Officer Places Top Ten in Tactical Challenge

Zachary Parker has been an officer with the Gillette Police Department since 2006, and he never ceases to find opportunities to improve his tactical skills, he said.

Parker recently returned from a weekend trip to St. George, Utah, where he competed in the Hard as Hell 2 Gun Assaulter challenge.

The competition is known to be strenuous, as competitors must navigate rugged terrain while aiming and firing at different targets throughout a practical shooting course, he said.

“My gun holster was covered in sand, said he added with a smileSix other Gillette residents also competed, including: Cory Goff, Chris Louck, Rory McBride, Jason Hawk, Alec Laub, and Seth Lunberg.
