A grey muzzle does not mean an old soul!

Meet Dakota, a ten-year-old spayed, female Shepherd and Shar-Pei blend.

Dakota was surrendered to the City of Gillette Animal Shelter after being passed from home to home. She now patiently waits for a forever family to step forward.

Don’t let the ten-year-old dog stigma be a turn off! This girl acts like she is only five years old. She is very active and loves to play, especially with a ball.

This sweet dog knows basic commands, such as sit, and is also house trained.

Since Dakota is a bit of an attention-seeker, she would prefer to be the only pet in the home.

“Dakota is an absolute sweetheart and does great with children!” Carolyn Sears, City of Gillette Animal Shelter employee said light-heartedly.
