The Campbell County Fire Department responded to the following fires on July 31:

 

  • CCFD responded to a  dumpster fire at 6:49 a.m. Friday on West Lakeway Road. Five firefighters and one chief arrived on scene to find a dumpster fully engulfed in fire. It was extinguished without incident and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

 

  • CCFD joined ranks with Weston County and United States Forest Service (USFS) units to put out a grass fire at 11:30 a.m. on Keeline Road. The fire was contained to approximately 58.6 acres, with three CCFD personnel on scene.

 

  • Seven CCFD firefighters and a chief responded to a report of a camper trailer in flames in the Hobby Lobby parking lot at 2150 S. Douglas Highway yesterday morning just before noon. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a small camper trailer fully involved with fire and extending to trees in the parking lot. They extinguished the fire without incident and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
