A 57-year-old Casper man died after failing to negotiate a curve near milepost 5 on Wyoming 251 this Saturday, according to July 20 press release from Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP).
Thomas G. Taylor failed to make a right curve on a 2007 Harley Davidson South of Casper, per WHP, which caused the motorcycle to exit the road and become airborne before landing.
Taylor was not wearing a helmet and succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash, the release stated.
Speed and driver inattention are being investigated as possible contributing factors.
This is the 53rd fatality on Wyoming’s roadways in 2020, compared to 92 in 2019, 56 in 2018, and 77 in 2017 on the same date.
