Expect More Road And Lane Closures For Gillette

The City of Gillette continues street repairs this summer. Current and upcoming road and lane closures include:

Shoshone Avenue will be closed from J Cross Avenue to Lexington Avenue from June 16 through June 30 for asphalt repairs as a part of the 2020 Large Patch Project funded by Penny Power.

Flying Circle Drive will be closed from Jack Plane Lane to Shipwheel Lane from May 11 through July 10 for street repairs associated with the 2020 Pavement Management Schedule project funded by Penny Power.

4th Street and Green Avenue
4th Street will be closed from Highway 59 to Gurley Avenue from June 15 through July 17, and Green Avenue will be closed at the intersection of 4th Street, for the installation of a new water main as part of the 2020 Water Main Replacement Project funded by Penny Power.

6th Street and Green Avenue – Extension
6th Street will be closed from Highway 59 to Gurley Avenue from through July 24, and Green Avenue will be closed at the intersection of 6th Street, for installation of a new water main as part of the 2020 Water Main Replacement Project funded by Penny Power.

6th Street, Kendrick, Carey, Brooks and Miller avenues – Extension
6th Street will be closed from Kendrick Avenue to Miller Avenue from May 20 through August 21.  Osborne Avenue and Emerson Avenue intersections will be open with hard surfacing for street repairs associated with the 2020 Pavement Management Schedule project funded by Penny Power.

Country Club Road
The eastbound lane of Country Club Road will be closed from Highway 59 east past the east entrance to Black Hills Urgent Care from Monday, June 29, through July 10, for road repairs.

EVENTS

4th of July Parade
2nd Street will be closed from Osborne to Burma on July 4 starting at 10 a.m. All side streets between 1st and 2nd in the staging area will be closed beginning at 6:00 a.m. including 1st Street.

Colonial Celebration
Gillette Avenue will be closed from 1st Street to 2nd Street on July 4 from 2 – 8 p.m. for a Colonial Celebration hosted by Big Lost Meadery.
