Clarice Sorlien Bargmann was born to Henry and Carla Sorlien on July 8, 1942 in Chico, California. She passed away in her home on May 20, 2020.
Clarice was a loving soul who baked delicious deserts and enjoyed reading. If she wasn’t in the kitchen or sitting with her nose in a book, she could easily be found along a stream in the Big Horn Mountains where she loved to fish. Clarice was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church here in Gillette.
Clarice was schooled in Montana where she later married the love of her life Richard Bargmann at First Lutheran Church of Miles City. Before her passing, she was able to celebrate their 57th wedding anniversary on March 17.
Together, Richard and Clarice moved to Gillette where they owned and operated MidState Camper Sales and Discount Mobile Home Parts. Throughout her life, Clarice was known for her dedication to her three children, ten grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
In her passing, Clarice left behind her husband Richard, children Valorie Webster of Las Vegas, Nevada, Bill Bargmann of Gillette, Wyoming, Lisa Smith of South Jordan, Utah, sister, Jackie Estes of Carson City, Nevada and her many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Clarice is preceded in death by her mother and father, her sister, Carol Parent, and brother, James Sorlien.
The graveside funeral for Clarice was held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 26 at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Gillette. The service was officiated by Pastor Deb Cote of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Due to concerns regarding COVID-19, the service was limited to a certain amount of people and was live streamed on Walker Funeral’s Website.
