A third resident at Worland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, a Washakie County long-term care facility, has died from complications related to COVID-19, according to a Wednesday afternoon release from the Wyoming Department of Health (WDH). The older woman was a Washakie County resident who had tested positive for the virus.
The facility has been facing an ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, with 12 identified cases among residents and 10 among facility staff.
Statewide, this marks the fourteenth coronavirus-related death, along with 653 cumulative lab-confirmed cases, 207 probable cases and 624 recoveries reported across 23 counties, per WDH.
As of Wednesday at 3:15 p.m., there have been 17 lab-confirmed cases, 13 probable cases, 25 recovered cases and no COVID-19 related deaths in Campbell County.
