Teaser Tuesday – May 26
County 17 puzzle whizzes, we’ve got your teasers. Here’s a little fun with numbers and runners and a race with an indeterminate winner.
We’ll also reveal the answers for last week’s teaser below if you didn’t get to take a look.
Your new puzzle:
Five runners competed in an international race. On their shorts, they bore the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. No runner finished according to the order of his or her number; that is, the runner in the number 1 shirt did not come in first. The runner wearing the number 2 shirt similarly did not come in second. Number 1 and number 5 came in one after the other. Numbers 3, 4, and 5 finished one after the other with 3 coming just ahead of 4, who came in after 5. Number 3 was not the winner. So who won the race?
