A fatal hit-and-run was reported near the I-25 off-ramp to US-85 north of Cheyenne Wednesday, according to a May 8 release from Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP).
Around 9:04 p.m., WHP troopers were dispatched for a reported hazard, per the release, where they arrived to find a deceased pedestrian near Exit 17, who appeared to have been hit by a vehicle.
No witnesses were present when law enforcement arrived on the scene, per WHP.
The deceased was identified as 32-year-old Cheyenne resident Anthony Moudy.
This incident marks the 26th fatality on Wyoming roadways in 2020, compared to 60 in 2019, 30 in 2018 and 34 in 2017 to date.
As WHP continues to investigate, troopers are asking for anyone who has any information about the hit-and-run to contact WHP Trooper Cross at (307) 777-4321.
