Due to safety concerns about the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP) announced Wednesday that they will be temporarily suspending all Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) inspections.

The decision was tagged as a low priority, according to a WHP release Thursday, given that many county clerks and treasurer’s offices are already closed and have stopped issuing titles and registrations.

WHP said they will suspend VIN inspection services for 30 days at which point they’ll reevaluate.
