The Campbell County Rockpile Museum’s February Family Day, the final event of the museum’s 2019-2020 Winter Series, will take place from 10 a.m. to noon this Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Rockpile Museum, 900 W. Second St.
February Family Day’s theme, “Fun with Cars STEM Challenge,” will teach kids about the history of cars in Campbell County and will feature historical photos of local citizens and automobiles throughout the ages. Children will further enjoy hands-on STEM challenges and activities from making race cars out of everyday household items like toilet paper to designing a car for the future, said Rockpile Museum Educator Penny Schroder.
“These activities will challenge children to use their imaginations,” Schroder said.
Registration is open to children aged five to 12, who must accompanied by an adult. Although participation is free, reservations are required.
