Two vehicles were damaged by gunfire early Thursday morning as they sat idle in the Fireside Lounge parking lot in the 100 block of Highway 14-16.
Five bullets struck the rear fender and windows of a 2007 SUV owned by a 32-year-old female, according to Gillette Police Department Lt. Brent Wasson. One of the bullets ricocheted into a nearby 2010 Chevrolet pickup also in the lot, causing minor damage. Damage to the SUV is estimated at above $1,000.
Eyewitnesses heard gunshots around 2 a.m. that morning, Wasson said. No suspects have been identified and the case is under investigation.
