The City of Gillette Animal Shelter is hosting the 2nd Annual Whiskers, Wreaths, and Wet Noses fundraiser this Thursday where approximately 14 donated wreaths and arrangements will be auctioned off with all proceeds going to Friends of the Animal Shelter.
According to City of Gillette Communications Manager Geno Palazzari, the nonprofit group uses the funds to help the city’s animal shelter purchase pet food and general supplies along with providing animals with shots and other medical procedures such as spaying and neutering. Palazzari said the event raised over $2,000 last year.
The free event will be held on Dec. 12 from 4 – 7 p.m. at the temporary animal shelter located at 950 W. Warlow Drive. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, visit the City of Gillette Animal Shelter on Facebook or call (307) 686-5249.
