Grumpy Dog ISO Love
Meet Grumpy, Pet of the Week.
Do you have an empty lap? Grumpy would love to fill that spot for you.
Grumpy came to the rescue named Happy, according to Carolyn and the rest of the gang at the Rest Easy My Friend Canine Rescue and Sanctuary. “But we already had a Happy,” she said, and with all the grey hair around his eyes, the senior short-haired male chihuahua resembled Grumpy from the seven dwarfs. His “glasses” made us think of a grumpy old man, Carolyn said.
“He is so funny,” she continued. “He truly reminds me of Mr. Wilson from Dennis the Menace. One minute he plays with the ‘kids,’ and the next he’s telling them to leave him alone. I love this funny, little guy.”
You will, too. Grumpy is small, sociable, house-trained, and great with other dogs and children. He is neutered and all of his vaccinations are up to date. He’d make a great companion for a younger, more energetic pup. So, if you have a puppy or small dog who needs a friend, Grumpy is your old man for the job. Big or small dog, Grumpy loves them all.
Do you like to go for a walk? Grumpy wants to join you. He walks splendidly on a leash and can even keep up with the big dogs.
Don’t miss this little diamond with a ruff!

Are you a foster pet mom or dad in the making?
If you’re an animal lover but not sure you’re ready to provide a pet in need with its forever home, perhaps you could foster one for fall? The City of Gillette Animal Shelter is moving into a smaller, temporary facility while its main building is being remodeled, and they don’t have as much space as normal for their adoptable pets.
Currently, they’re looking for pet-friendly people to help foster shelter pets during their remodel.
If you can help provide housing for an awesome shelter pet, please contact the shelter at (307) 686-5249.
