RSVP Now for Cancer Survivor Celebration Dinner

The American Legion Post 42 hosts a large number of fundraisers each year, including one (pictured above) to help Mason Balls get a new bionic thumb.

Time is running out to reserve tickets for the Oct. 25 Survivor Celebration Dinner hosted by the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life of Northeast Wyoming. To be part of the celebration, attendees must RSVP by this Friday, Oct. 19.

“Cancer does not fight fair. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who have passed away from cancer,” said Holly Donathan, dinner committee member, who is involved to honor her family, specifically her nephew and grandmother. “We are celebrating the living.”

The community, including survivors, families, and caregivers, are invited to come together next week to honor all survivors of cancer.

Donathan notes that cancer does not discriminate, and the money raised will fund counseling, wigs, and research.

Cancer survivors, along with two guests, may attend for free. Each additional guest accompanying a survivor will be $5. General public tickets are $10 and kids 12 and under are free.

Doors open at 5 p.m. Oct. 25 and dinner begins at 6 p.m. at the American Legion, 200 Rockpile Blvd. The evening will include food, fellowship, and silent and live auctions. A cash bar will also be available.

RSVP to (307) 680-6985.
