Paranoia Leads to Drug Arrest
A 34-year-old Gillette man was arrested yesterday afternoon after he contacted the Gillette Police Department to report his roommates were setting him up.
According to Detective Sgt. Eric Dearcorn, the man allegedly admitted to using methamphetamine the previous night.
When contacted by officers, the man appeared to be hyperactive and had disassembled all the electronics in the apartment. He also allegedly told officers his roommates had arranged for him to get free drugs and they were watching him.
No drugs were found in the residence. The man told officers he had used some of the methamphetamine and flushed the rest.
The man was charged with being under the influence of drugs.
