Enroll WY Offers Assistance in Gillette
Enroll Wyoming is hosting an event at the Department of Workforce Services (DWS) to help local residents find health insurance if they’ve lost their coverage due job loss. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., additional staff will be on hand to help individuals through the health marketplace process.
DWS Public Information Specialist Michele Mitchum said it takes an average of about 45 minutes to complete the process. Some items to bring along include:
- A recent pay stub or W-2 form
- Letter of health insurance termination from your employer
- Birthday and Social Security numbers of all family members you plan to enroll
Mitchum said it’s also a good idea to bring a mobile device that can access your email.
Enroll Wyoming acts as the single point of contact for Wyoming residents to find health insurance coverage if they do not have coverage through their employer.
The DWS also offers a wide range of services for displaced workers including unemployment benefits, training opportunities, and in some cases assistance with rent and utilities.
