Multiple Agencies Investigate Allegations of Child Pornography
Three Gillette men were arrested for possession and transportation of child pornography last month. According to Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Special Agent Chris McDonald, the lengthy investigation was initiated by a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Initial and preliminary detention hearings for 33-year-old Robert Fay, 22-year-old Trevor Hylle, and 26-year-old Shawn Connors where held in Casper in August. All three men have since been released on bond pending trial.
If convicted, Fay, Hylle, and Connors face a maximum of five to twenty years incarceration. Suspects are presumed innocent until proved guilty. The arrests were the result of an ongoing, joint, federal, state, and local operation and more arrests are expected.
These three arrests resulted from a series of operations that include several agencies: Homeland Security Investigations, Wyoming DCI’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Team, Wyoming DCI Northeast Enforcement Team, Campbell County Sheriff’s office, and Gillette Police Department.
