In an effort to keep things running smoothly after the PGI fireworks show at Morningside Park, Cam-Plex staff and the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office have devised a traffic plan.
When exiting Cam-Plex, spectators will only be able to make right-hand turns. Sheriff’s deputies will be directing traffic to assist with the flow.
Fox Park Road will be closed during each public show and will reopen directly after the show ends.
No parking is allowed along Garner Lake Road, Boxelder Road, and Highway 51 during the shows.
Highway 51 will also be closed from Garner Lake Road to American Road for the Wednesday and Friday nights’ shows.
The Campbell County GIS department created these maps to help the driving public visualize the traffic plan.
Public safety is the top priority for everyone involved. However, the threat of fire still exists. In the event of a fire, according to a release from Campbell County, if it remains small and smoke is not an issue, the PGI show will continue and the fire will be put out afterward. If a fire poses a threat to public safety, the show will be stopped and firefighters will work to extinguish it before the show continues.
