Pet of the Week: Zelda and Bowser
Ours is a community of animal lovers. From all the Facebook posts helping lost pets find their way home, to organizations like the Fur Kid Foundation that helps local animals with unexpected vet bills.
That sense of helping your neighbors out also extends to the three main organizations that help homeless animals find the places they were meant to be.
Meet Bowser and Zelda.
This pair of 2-year-old kitties are currently being fostered at the There’s No Place Like Home for the City of Gillette Animal Shelter. See, neighbors helping neighbors.
Not only is the City Shelter full to overflowing with dogs and cats in need of homes, the staff there is also gearing up to move into a temporary facility for a major remodel project.
That’s how Zelda and Bowser ended up at Betsy Nowack’s rescue.
Bowser, the long haired grey cat is not a fan of being in a kennel, so There’s No Place Like Home was a perfect alternative living situation while the felines look for their “fur-ever” home.
Betsy said this pair is always together so she’s hoping they will be able to be adopted together. Both are fixed, declawed, and up to date on shots.
“He is the friendliest goofball we have ever had,” Betsy said of Bowser. “He hangs off perches to get your attention.”
He’s also fond of playing with hair.
Bowser and Zelda love toys, are great with kids, and don’t mind dogs.
Visit There’s No Place Like Home on Facebook if you’d like to meet these pretty kitties.
