A 37-year-old woman drove over her own foot Monday as she attempted to coax her dog to go home. Around 7:45 a.m. June 17, Campbell County Fire Department was dispatched to a vehicle rollover with entrapment. As it turned out, that was not the case.
The woman was reportedly driving down Centennial Drive when she noticed that her dog had gotten loose and was chasing behind her car. She then stopped to yell for it to go home.
According to Campbell County Undersheriff Quentin Reynolds, the women neglected to put her car into park after stopping, and the vehicle rolled over her foot as she attempted to exit.
Campbell County fire fighters were able to extricate the patient’s foot from underneath the tire and secure the vehicle in place. She was transported to Campbell County Health for treatment.
