Suspect Sought in Weekend Aggravated Assault
Gillette Police are looking for the suspect in an assault that happened early Sunday morning at Boot Hill.
Detective Sgt. Eric Dearcorn said officers were originally dispatched to a bar fight shortly after 2 a.m. Upon arrival, a 41-year-old male was found unconscious but breathing.
Witness reported seeing a Hispanic male run at the 41-year-old, striking him in the face. The man suffered a cut under his left eye and was bleeding from the back of the head.
He was transported to Campbell County Health via ambulance and later flown to Rapid City for continued treatment.
Dearcorn said at this time the suspected has not been identified. The investigation is ongoing.
