Funeral service for Bobbie “Bob” Cooper will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 7, 2019, at Walker Funeral Home, with visitation from noon to 2 p.m.
Bobbie Gene Cooper, 87, of Gillette, Wyoming, passed away Sunday June 2, 2019.
Bob was born in Wray, Colorado, Sept. 5, 1931, the oldest of four children to David and Goldie (Baker) Cooper. Bob was a very soft-hearted person who was willing to help anyone in need.
Growing up, he worked with his dad on construction projects and eventually started a drywall business before going to work at Belle Ayr mine in 1978. Bob retired from mining in 1988.
Bob had many passions in life. He wrote songs and played in a band named Jerry and the Jokers which included his brother, Jack, and Maury Neugebauer. Bob also loved hunting, fishing, boating, rock hunting, and spending time with family and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his siblings, son Bobbie Gene, infant son Patrick, and son-in-law, Leon. He is survived by Mike (Gayle) Cooper and family, daughter, Mary Ann Milachek and family, daughter, Donna (Mike) Hurff and family, daughter, Barbara (Craig) Weber and family, son, George (Lori) Cooper and family, and daughter, Shawna (Ken) Cooper and family.
Bobbie, you will be forever in the hearts of family and friends.
