Six months after his election, Gov. Mark Gordon continues to build his leadership team, as well as making a few replacements.
On Monday, May 13, the governor announced that Michael Pearlman will replace Rachel Girt as communications director beginning Thursday, May 16. According to a release from the governor’s office, Girt will be returning to work in the private sector.
In addition, Karen Hayes will serve as Gordon’s executive assistant and Lachelle Brant, Erica Legerski, and Beth Callaway will serve as policy advisers focusing on education, budgeting, and natural resources respectively. Pamela Perea will manage boards and commissions.
“I am very excited to have Erica, Lachelle, Beth, Karen, Pamela and Michael working with me for Wyoming,” said Gordon. “They all have knowledge and specific expertise that will help move this state forward.”
It was last week that Gordon announced his chief of staff, Dr. Pat Arp will be retiring in July. There’s been no word yet on a replacement for that position.
