Don’t Bite the Hand that Delivers
A FedEx Delivery driver was bitten twice by the same dog late yesterday morning.
According to Gillette Police Detective Sgt. Eric Dearcorn, the incident was reported just after 11 a.m. Thursday, May 9, in the 1800 block of East Warlow Drive.
The 25-year-old male driver was bitten on the hand while attempting to deliver the package. The dog’s owner brought the dog inside so the driver could make the delivery. However, the driver was bitten a second time on the opposite hand as he attempted to pet the dog.
Dearcorn said the driver suffered lacerations on one hand and a puncture wound on the other hand.
The breed of the dog was not released and no citations were issued as a result of the incident.
