Super Tag Raises Close to $1 million
The Wyoming Game and Fish Super Tag is like a special lottery specifically for hunters.
The Super Tag Raffle was established by the state Legislature in 2014 to generate revenue for the department and provide new hunting opportunities. Since that time, the raffle has raised more than $3.7 million. In 2018 alone, $913,550 was generated through the program. Now, not even halfway through 2019, the raffle is already edging close to $1 million.
“Hunters who buy Super Tag tickets are supporting wildlife conservation for all species and are helping future generations of conservationists,” said Game and Fish Director Brian Nesvik. “Because of hunters’ extreme generosity in helping us to achieve the million dollar milestone this year, we want to celebrate and say thank you.”
A $10 Super Tag Raffle ticket includes 10 license drawings, one each for Bighorn sheep, moose, elk, mountain goat, wild bison, deer, antelope, mountain lion, grey wolf, and black bear.
The $30 Super Tag Trifecta ticket is one drawing only, and the winner gets to choose any three licenses from the 10 listed above.
Hunters who purchase a Super Tag ticket during the month of May will also be entered into a drawing to win a custom-built ClymR rifle donated by Gunwerks and Worldwide Trophy Adventures.
“As management demands grow, increasing and diversifying funding sources for Game and Fish is important to ensure abundant wildlife and hunting and fishing opportunities continue to be a part of Wyoming’s future,” said Nesvik.
