The Central Committee of the Campbell County Republican Party will consider a resolution this weekend that would allow them to disqualify candidates from running as republican.
“Its basic intent is to take control of the local GOP away from the citizens and place in in the hands of the Central Committee,” Charlene Camblin wrote about the proposed resolution in a letter addressed to Frontier Republicans.
Camblin serves as a precinct person and also ran against Edward Rebich for the position of vice chairman of the central committee last month.
The Campbell County Republican Party’s website has a link to this weekend’s agenda. However, the central committee’s meeting minutes have not been updated since January 2018.
Party Chairwoman Vicki Kissack told Wyofile that any questions regarding the proposed resolution would need to go to its author, Bill Fortner, who is the precinct committeeman.
The Central Committee meeting is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 27, in the Wyoming Room of the Campbell County Public Library.
