The funeral service for Jack Hayworth will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 26, 2019, at Gillette Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ernie Bishop officiating. Visitation will take place from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, April 25, 2019, also at Gillette Memorial Chapel.
Jack Hayworth, 79, of Gillette, Wyoming, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019, at his home of natural causes.
Jackie Lars Hayworth was born on Aug. 10, 1939, in Sundance, Wyoming, to Violet (Cushman) and Doyle Hayworth. He attended school in Hulett, Wyoming, and worked for Johnson Sawmill during high school. He also worked for Neiman’s Logging, Rock Island Trucking, Flint Engineering, and Black Hills Trucking from 1971 to 1996.
Jack enjoyed shooting sports, hunting, spending time with family and friends, drinking coffee at the Lariat Café, and shooting the breeze with friends and discussing politics. He also liked geology, archaeology, and arrowhead hunting. He was a proud supporter of the NRA, St. Jude, Fallen Officers, and Wounded Warrior Project.
Jack is survived by his children, Tony (Sarah) Hayworth of Gillette, Wyoming; Yvette (Jim) Sessions of Wright, Wyoming; Lisa Doherty of Spring Creek, Nevada; and Yolanda Norsworthy of Riverton, Wyoming; brothers, Derald Hayworth, Roger Hayworth, Verlin (Marsha) Hayworth all of Carlile, Wyoming; Tim Hayworth of Seattle, Washington; Cyrus Hayworth of Rapid City, South Dakota; sisters, Wanda Hayworth of Sultan, Washington; Sarah Roth of Carlile, Wyoming; and Susan Hayworth of Montana; along with eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Dan Hayworth; and grandsons Lyle Sessions and Joshua Doherty.
